Marco Marzola

M. Marzola's artistic formation started in the conservatory of Ferrara. In 1982 he moved to New York where he studied with Barry Harris and acustic bass with Buster Williams. Captured by Jazz he frequentied the clubs of Harlem and the Village collaborating with important representatives of the Afro-American music. He also became interested in ethnic music. From multiple experience he gained the capacity to adapt to different musical context. Jimmy Lovelace, Tommy Tarantine, Jimmy Owens, Paul Jeffrey, Craig Handy, Betty Carter, Harold Land, George Cables, Steve Turre, Tommy Campbell, John Hics, Tony Scott, Bruce Forman, Jimmy Cobb, Jessy Davis, John Clark, Sherman Irby, James Zollar, Chuck McPherson, Ed Cherry, Giulio Capiozzo, Flavio Boltro, Carlo Atti, Stefano Bollani, Giancarlo Bianchetti, Mauro Grossi, Pietro Tonolo, Luciano Titi, Roberto Rossi, Emanuele Cisi, Paolo Mappa, Marco Tamburini, Oscar Zenari, Nico Menci, Max Chiarella, Fabrizio Bosso, Alessamdro Minetto. He also held seminars with : Tommy Campbell, Steve Turre, Bruce Forman, George Cables. In many occasiones he participated in radio television transmissions in italy and abroad.
