Linus Lindblom
The Lines – Lindblom’s debut as a leader was released in 2007. Sweden’s biggest jazz magazine Orkesterjournalen called it “One of this years best Swedish jazz albums”. Lindblom was the winner of the Swedish Radio award "Jazzkatten" as newcomer of the year in 2008.
His second album as a leader Objets Trouvés was released in 2012 and further recognized him as a creative saxophonist and composer to be reckoned with. A well renowned newspaper wrote “This is grand jazz with one of Sweden’s best young saxophonists, and the fact that he also has a style of his own and great integrity makes it an extraordinary experience.”
In 2014 Lindblom received one of Sweden’s biggest Jazz music awards with the statement “Linus Lindblom, born in Hälsingland in 1977, has his own musical world both as a saxophonist and composer. He is a highly personal musician that deserves attention. With great integrity and stylistic roots in the rich soil of the 60’s he combines Nordic lyricism and melancholy with jazz traditions. Linus Lindblom moves amazingly homely in the past, present as well as the future that he is part of. Always with freshness, originality and self-will.”
