John is a dual resident of Lewes, Delaware and New Orleans, Louisiana. His musical background includes playing a variety of styles from blues to zydeco, but he mostly enjoys traditional/New Orleans and classic jazz standards from the 20’s and 30’s through the 60’s. He performs regularly at the Back Porch Cafe, Jerry's Seafood, and Blackwall Hitch in the Lewes/Rehoboth area and at other restaurants and clubs in Delaware and Maryland, along with private functions and occasional opportunities around the US and internationally. He has been a member of Shore Jazz since 1999 and has been active in the Delaware and eastern shore music scene for more than 25 years. John has worked as a sideman with, the Zydecats (zydeco), Mood Swingers (classic rock), Big Hat, No Cattle (Texas swing/rockabilly), Dr. Harmonica and Rocket 88 (blues), Philip Dutton and the Alligators (cajun/zydeco/NOLA R&B), numerous other bands and with his own ensembles. In New Orleans he frequently works with Monty Banks (jazz/NOLA R&B), Jerry Jumonville and Jump City (jazz), David Roe and the Royal Rounders (jazz), Some Like it Hot (trad/dixieland), and other bands at Buffa's Lounge, Fritzel's, The Spotted Cat, 3 Muses, and other Frenchmen Street clubs and venues around the Crescent City.
