Freight

A new jazz quartet from Bristol, England, playing original compositions drawing heavily from Thelonious Monk inspiration, and the fiery post-modern aptitude of John Coltrane. Pianist Martin Jenkins, the composer of Freight's original material, is teamed up with the heavy tenor and soprano sax playing of Craig Crofton, the dynamic drumming of Richard Laws, and the rhythmical assured upright-bass playing of Greg Cordez. They have just launched their newly completed album.
