Eric Hastings
Eric Hastings is a musician, drummer, producer and composer. His steady feel, willingness to take risks, and sense of tasteful collaboration has led to performing, recording and production work with a wide variety of artists; most notably the Americana/Jazz group Evening Sky, Ocean State - his collaborative duo with trombonist/keyboardist Brian Drye, and Collective Acoustics - an electro-improvisatory trio with brothers Geoff and George Hazelrigg.
His compositions and production work have been featured and placed on all major network, cable, and streaming services in addition to appearing in films, podcasts, and advertising campaigns.
At his studio, The Grapevine, Eric has chosen quality over quantity, emphasizing a smaller number of high-end microphones, pre-amps, compressors, EQs, and instruments. His productions thrive on live interplay, shying away from current trends to keep his sounds organic, warm and authentic.
Eric co-founded NCM East Records, a label dedicated to nurturing artists and releasing music that pushes creative boundaries. He has over seen the releases internationally as well as licensing the music to hundreds of TV shows, films, and other new media outlets.
