David Rodriguez
David Rodriguez is a music producer, sound designer, and mixing engineer whose career spans more than three decades across music, film, and television. A twenty-time Emmy Award recipient and founder of 19 Audio, he brings a cinematic sensibility to music production, with an emphasis on detail, emotional connection, and the character of each performance.
His musical background includes working with legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock from 1991 to 1994. Today, his work encompasses stereo and Dolby Atmos production, exploring how immersive sound can reveal the depth and interplay of a musical ensemble.
Rodriguez produced and mixed Big Dipper, the first legacy album by pianist, composer, and philosopher Stephen Braude with Yamara Band. Working with executive producer Gina Ruk and guitarist Miodrag “Miško” Jovanović, he helped bring Braude’s compositions and recorded piano performances to completion. The project combined existing recordings, virtual instruments, and new performances by featured musicians, preserving Braude’s musical voice while building a rich, cinematic setting around it.
Alongside his music work, Rodriguez has provided sound services for productions associated with Netflix, Amazon, Warner Bros., HBO, Discovery, ESPN, and other major entertainment companies. Based in Las Vegas, he continues to connect the storytelling craft of post-production with the creative possibilities of jazz and immersive music.
