Costanza Alegiani is an Italian singer, composer and lyricist, mainly active in the field of contemporary jazz music and songwriting. She is interested in exploring music, discovering inner sounds of words, immerging herself in great stories, writing them and singing about them.
She has performed in various festivals and venues including: I solisti del Teatro( at Giardini della Filarmonica Romana), ArtCity 2019, RomaEuropaFestival, Festival Franco Italiano Una Striscia di Terra Feconda 2016 and 2017, Atina Jazz, Villa Celimontanta Jazz, Da Donne a Donna, Il Sapore della Storia EXPO 2015, Estate Fiesolana, Prix Italia 2019 in Capri, Settimana della Cultura Italiana nel mondo (Libreville, Gabon), Santarcangelo '39 Festival, Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Casa del Jazz, Aula Magna Università La Sapienza, Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Varsavia di Cracovia, Teatro Eliseo, Studio Radio3 di Via Asiago (Radio3 Suite).
Among his recordings: Folkways (Parco della Musica Records, June 2021), a new recording project inspired by the world of American folk music (with M. Allulli, R. Gola, F. Diodati, F. Sferra). Grace in Town (Parco della Musica Records and Jando Music 2018), written four hands with Fabrizio Sferra (with the participation of R.Cecchetto, F.Diodati, F.Ponticelli, A.Gwis, F.Scettri). The live album Janis, recorded at the Casa del Jazz in Rome, for the series of live recordings Jazz Italiano Live 2016, an initiative of the publishing group L'Espresso di Repubblica, recorded with the group Giovani Leonesse; his debut album as a soloist Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair (Improvvisatore Involontario 2014) inspired by Verdi's Macbeth and Otello. Oscene Rivolte (Parco della Musica Records 2019), with Paolo Damiani's National Jazz Giovani Talenti Orchestra. Among his past projects, the recital Tutto questo non è nient'altro che un gioco, with Canio Loguercio, taken from the work 'Il mondo salvato dai ragazzini' by Elsa Morante, presented within the Festival I solisti del Teatro”.
