Capn Chris Olds

Chris Olds aka the Drumulator is a Performing and Recording Artist. First, a Live Broadway Production a USC “Dames At Sea” at the Bing Theatre. Then went on to play professionally when he was still in High School with the San Fernando Jazz Ensemble. Chris excelled at sight reading and playing jazz at a young age. This aptitude for playing Jazz and being precise with his timing, lead to many recording sessions beginning in about 1984, Chris began to venture out and started playing in clubs at 20 yrs old down in the South Louisiana with his first band “Don't Ask”. In the years since then Chris has played hundreds of performances and performed on Drums and Percussion on about 40 Records.

Cap'n Chris Olds is still going after 40 + years of drumming and looking forward to the next musical adventure. Chris recently started a new band 4D Travelers. They're working on a Festival and Concert tour in 2021, keep your eyes open for some shows!

Credentials/Background

Private teacher with 5 years private instruction. I taught a Jazz class at a Private School, 7/8th grade. The band was great, and this was one of the most fun jobs I've ever had! I love teaching kids, and have taught many, many young students to read and play drum set. I play Rock, Jazz, Blues, Fusion and Latin styles also!
