BRAHIM Band

Formed at the Eastman School of Music's jazz department in 2017 and currently based in Brooklyn, NY, BRAHIM! is an 8-piece fusion band - taking standard pop song forms and expanding them with improvisation and a unique blend of groove-based genres. The result is a fresh sound that in live performance, is never the same twice. BRAHIM!'s members have performed with Gary Bartz, Danilo Pérez, Terri Lyne Carrington, Rodney Green, and Jazzmeia Horn, among others.

BRAHIM! Band's debut album BRAHIM! is an eclectic blend of jazz fusion, rhythm and blues, and hip-hop influenced rhyming schemes. The melodies that flow through this record stand out as a beautiful fusion compositions that borrows from several different genres of music. The opening track, “Indescribable Feeling," starts with a slow build that grows into an insane cacophony of drumming by Matt Bent and Eric Metzgar.
