Bogna Kicińska - jazz vocalist, composer, educator and violinist was born in 1984 in small town Krasnystaw in Poland. As a jazz vocalist, she is a graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York, the Karol Szymanowski School of Music in Katowice (Poland) and the Henryk Majewski Jazz Training College in Warsaw (Poland). She also has formal undergraduate qualifications in violin from her time in Poland. She is a past prize-winner of many competitions including the following: International Festival of Traditional Jazz – Old Jazz Meeting “Gold Grater” (Ilawa, Poland/ 2011), International Jazz Competition for Singing Musicians “Voicingers” ( Zory, Poland/ 2009) “Hope of Warsaw” (2007). She has performed with several NY based musicians including Gene Jackson, Gabriel Guerrero, Gene Ess, along with Polish legends such as Danuta Błażejczyk and Jerzy “Duduś” Matuszkiewicz. In 2014 she released her debut album "The Maze"
