With a voice described as “chocolate melting,” Sarah Politte breathes new life into the timeless classics of the Great American Songbook. Her artistry is deeply inspired by the mastery of Sarah Vaughan, whose gorgeous vibrato, rich tonal command, and profound emotional depth serve as the guiding foundation for Sarah's own vocal journey. This two-time All-State Jazz Vocalist masterfully blends a modern charm with the technical precision and classic style of a seasoned jazz Vocalist. Sarah is currently preparing for the September 18, 2026 release of her highly anticipated debut EP, In Wonderland. Recorded at Marigny Studios, the project was produced by Grammy-winning producer and sound engineer Justin Armstrong. ”There's a quiet wisdom in her swing that's rare at any age. Having spent many hours with Sarah in the studio, what strikes me most is her ear for melody, her deep respect for jazz, and the emotional honesty she brings to every note.” — Justin Armstrong A natural improviser known for her impeccable pitch, warm tone, and deep respect for the lineage of the music, Sarah commands the stage in settings ranging from intimate duets to fronting full big bands. Her sophisticated artistry has already earned her a completely sold-out run at Blue Strawberry and opportunities to perform and record alongside esteemed jazz artists such as Wycliffe Gordon, Allen Vizzutti, Marina Albero, and Lori Mechem. Specializing in the “Golden Age” of jazz alongside Brazilian repertoire and her very own original compositions written in the classic songbook style. Sarah remains fiercely dedicated to preserving, honoring, and evolving this uniquely American art form.

My Jazz Story

I love jazz because of its classic feeling, and storytelling. It allows so much freedom with the voice. I was first exposed to jazz with Sarah Vaughans recording of Misty, and I instantly fell in love with the genre.

My House Concert Story

I recently held and sold-out my debut vocal jazz concert at Blue Strawberry showroom & lounge in St. Louis and it was incredible! it made me realize even more that performing is what I wanna do!
