				About Me

Jazz isn't just about improvisation and the present moment for me—it's much more than that. It's a genre that
transcends borders, connecting people from all walks of life and cultures, and continually evolving by
embracing diverse influences.
Yet, on a personal level, jazz holds a special place in my heart, akin to a warm embrace. I grew up in a family of
pro musicians, and jazz was the soundtrack to my childhood. Surrounded by timeless classics from a young age,
I never had to seek out my first jazz record.
My journey with jazz has been lifelong, filled with unforgettable experiences at concerts and festivals
worldwide. From witnessing legends like Chick Corea, Al Jarreau, George Benson, Stanley Clarke, and Marcus
Miller perform live, to immersing myself in the vibrant jazz scenes of Thailand during a four-year stay, every
moment has enriched my connection with this mesmerizing genre.
Upon relocating to Tbilisi, Georgia, I found myself fully immersed in the city's bustling jazz community, where I
encountered countless talented musicians who inspired me to delve deeper into my own musical journey. It was
here that I reignited my passion for piano playing, delving into intricate rhythms and harmonies, while also
embarking on vocal training to further explore the genre. Alongside my musical pursuits, I immersed myself in
jazz history, uncovering the captivating stories behind the music and its iconic figures.
As my passion for jazz continued to grow, I found myself drawn to sharing my discoveries with others through
blogging. This journey led me to receive accreditation for renowned events such as the Tbilisi Jazz Festival and
the Black Sea Jazz Festival in Batumi, Georgia. Expanding my horizons further, I ventured to Bishkek and
Tashkent in 2023, broadening my network within the jazz community.
Now, after three fulfilling years of sharing my love for jazz through blogging, I am thrilled to embark on a new
chapter as a writer for AAJ. I am eager to continue exploring and celebrating the rich tapestry of jazz music and
the modern jazz scene, sharing my passion with a wider audience.
