Here’s to the power of three: Kinga Glyk is the third, breakout female electric bassist showcased of late in AAJ’s Video Highlights. Born in Poland, she was highly encouraged by her father, a jazz percussionist, to pickup the bass, and she began playing in the family’s professional band at age 10. Glyk went viral at age 20 when she recorded a beautiful, technically-demanding solo rendition of Eric Clapton’s "Tears in Heaven." The video has racked up over 3.6 million views on YouTube.
