About the Album

Ubuntu is the third track off of Pictures at an African Exhibition, the second album by Darryl Yokley's Sound Reformation. Inspired by the orchestral masterpiece "Pictures at an Exhibition," by Modest Mussourgsky, Yokley has created a jazz symphony that combines music and visual art into a grand display of artistry. Ubuntu is an African philosophy that embraces the idea of brotherhood. Simply put it says, "I am who I am because of who we are."
