About the Album
The Cave is part of a suite by calrinetist Hillai Govreen and pianist Nitsan Kolko that alludes to various ancient fables and other literary artwork. This particular song is inspired by Plato's Allegory of the Cave. It paints an intimate and somewhat dark atmosphere while integrating spontaneous improvisation with large-scale compositional thought.
