About the Album
Sound Landscapes is the title track of the debut album of Jazz'on Parma Orchestra. Beppe Di Benedetto says: "During the pandemic I wrote Sound Landscapes, that has become this record's manifesto. It depicts on one hand the introspective concentration and on the other hand the energy coming from the longing to come back to a better world. The sound landscape consists of worlds apparently far from one another but capable to reach out and integrate, as if to give sense to all throughout differences. In this track you can find many of the influences I've had as a musician, from classical music to contemporary jazz: the minimalism, my love for Igor Stravinskij and Gustav Mahler and the Africa of Duke Ellington in a modern way." Soloists include Emiliano Vernizzi and Gabriele Fava.
