About the Album

Jazzhop producer JAKSPIN met Monielle online searching for a singer and songwriter to collaborate with. He instantly fell in love with Monielle's voice and unique style blending soulful singing with rap flows. Additionally Monielle writes lyrics that touch your mind, body and soul. They've been collaborating for two years and we're very honored to present their latest effort. „Resilient“ is an uplifting neo soul song that encourages you to stay strong in these troubling times. Monielle reasures that „we're gonna figure it out“, no matter how evil the world seems to become. Lofi drums, a mean funky bass groove, smooth piano chords and Monielle's beautiful voice take you back to the 90s era of great R&B songs while still staying in the present with the lofi asthetics of Idealism and the jazzy attitude of Robert Glasper.
