About the Album
Renowned Dominican musician Pengbian Sang Pengbian embarked on a project whose objective was to make a difference in the jazz ambiance of the Dominican Republic: to contribute in reducing the gap between the great public that loves popular music and the select audience of the jazz crowd. Using his training and experience as arranger, orchestrator and jazz musician, Pengbian managed to combine the beauty and elegance of the most popular Dominican songs of all time, with jazz, bossa, funk and other styles related to jazz. Thus, in the month of March of 2013, Pengbian and Retro Jazz released their first album "Jazzeando el Cancionero Dominicano, Vol. 1".
