Fiona's Comments

Stunning track. A ballad arises from a deep well of spiritual jazz, and just takes flight. Wow. Highly recommended.

About the Album

Oasis is the powerful, uplifting title track of the new Ernie Watts Quartet recording with his European Quartet. The project contains 3 new originals by Ernie (including Oasis), 1 each from his pianist Christof Saenger and his drummer Heinrich Koebberling, classics by John Coltrane, Joe Sample, Johnny Mandel, Lennon/McCartney, and bebop from Dizzy and Bird--a deep oasis of music.
