About the Album
This is the Cats first release since the pandemic. Their albums Le Cirque (2020) and Cats in a Coal Mine (2020) received critical acclaim from Baltimore's press and beyond. The video for their song 'Fantasy' was selected for the 2021 London Music Video Festival and featured in All About Jazz. The Cat's first single of Album is "Love Lost on a Bar Napkin" and was written many years ago during their time coming up in the local bar scene of Fells Point (Baltimore). The lyrics describe a fantasy meeting of a woman through old-time romanticism over a traditional jazz standard arrangement and the Cat's signature sound and saxophone-heavy grooves."
