Following the success of “Balbec”, the new single “Kimnara” sees the return of German pianists Christian Pabst’s original trio featuring Jazz-Echo recipient André Nendza on bass and one of the most sought after musicians of the Dutch jazz scene, Erik Kooger, on drums. For this original composition, the German pianist & composer Christian Pabst was inspired by Buddhist mythology where the god of music is depicted as a golden bird flying powerfully through the air. This image conveys perfectly the energy and rhythmic force that flows through this track.
