About the Album
“Julia’s Tango” is a multi-faceted composition dedicated to Francesco's wife, Julia. The piece was composed in 2019 as a musical suite that dances between different Latin rhythms, from an implied jazz tango to a bouncy samba, from a delicate intro declaring the main musical theme, to a highly rhythmic improvisational section, and resolving back to the main theme. The trio in this track features Francesco Crosara on keyboards, Farko Dosumov on electric bass and D'Vonne Lewis on drums.
