About the Album
Give It a Chance is inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Braiding Sweetgrass. Colonialism destroying indigenous culture along with its wisdom of nature and balance is the main topic of the book. Being able to reconnect to that ancient wisdom is a struggle for modern indigenous communities and their descendants. The lyrics describe the experience of an individual who seeks to reconnect with their ancestral knowledge.
