About the Album
Drummer/composer and tabla player Dan Weiss pays homage to formative influences and loved ones on his brilliant new trio album Dedication featuring pianist Jacob Sacks and bassist Thomas Morgan. "For Tim Smith" is the first track of the album. As Weiss says in his liner notes, “Smith is the genius behind Cardiacs, one of my favorite bands. I came up with a chord sequence and immediately thought of him, imagining this might be something he’d write. Yes, many major chords."
