Fiona's Comments
A nice contemporary fusion tune for fans of that subgenre. Simple, likable, and to the point. Notable: Bassist Robert Miller was co-founder of 32 Jazz (along with the late Joel Dorn), a label which got the spotlight on some long overlooked gems of albums and artists, a service which the jazz community should be thankful for.
About the Album
Flat Busted- I call this my "jazz kinks" track because I actually wrote this tune after listening to "You Really Got Me" by the Kinks, which inspired me to come up with the signature lick I used. Hey, you never know. Personnel: Robert Miller (electric bass), Ron Thaler (drums), and Gilad Ronen (sax).
