“Estuary” is the brand new first single off of Niklas Lukassen's bandleader debut album “Still Waters ” on Kurt Rosenwinkel's Heartcore Records. With saxophonist Ben van Gelder, pianist Kit Downes and drummer Francesco Ciniglio, the track fuses captivating individualists of the jazz scenes of Amsterdam, London, Paris and Berlin. With natural improvisational flow and unafraid of intentional, suspenseful collision, the unit's interplay produces pounding waves of raw energy.

Ps. That unconventional bass sound was achieved through experimentation with synthetic gut strings on a fretless bass guitar. Sounds wild, but it worked
