The paradoxical title “Inside Views” that nontheless has been chosen carefully already shows the ingenious hidden meaning that constitutes Kapilidis’ music. The new album combines the whole colourful range and the conceptional abundance of traditional Hardbop jazz and Soul jazz. Careful listening reveals this compositions’ finesse. Kapilidis is a half-shade enthusiast, a fan of finely chased details and patinized brillance. Who once got sensible for this understatement will never give it up again.
