About the Album

"Adoration of the Earth" is the opening track on drummer Tima Volozh's debut album, Jubilee. It's an excerpt from his arrangement of Stravinsky's "The Rite or Spring." The groove for the piece is heavily inspired by Ed Blackwell's "Togo" from the 1979 ECM recording Old and New Dreams, and the harmony is influenced by Chris Potter's version of the same tune as played on his 2007 album, Follow the Red Line.
