Approaching Year 29
All About Jazz is gearing up to celebrate its 29th anniversary in less than a month and we have some exciting news to share. First, we're launching the All About Jazz Shop featuring Ricci-made products. Hey, if it's made by a Ricci, it's gotta be good! We'll offer the NOW PLAYING (wood) stand and we're already prototyping an AAJ (acrylic) color changing light which is super cool. An AAJ bourbon (glass) tumbler is under consideration.
In addition to the new store, we're also introducing the Jazz Forward Award Program where we'll honor the movers and groovers of the jazz world. The prizes have been identified and the nomination form and the selection committee are ready to go. Look for announcements about the shop and Jazz Forward on August 15th.
We're also thrilled to introduce All About Jazz's first-ever best of midyear picks list entitled Best of 2024: All-Star Break Edition. Over 50 staff contributors pitched in to create a mega list that is already mega-popular with the readers.

The strange case of the disappearing...
I'm not into Facebook, but All About Jazz had a page there for at least 14 years. Just the other week, a staffer mentioned our page had vanished. That was news to me, so I logged into my personal FB account to investigate. Turns out, lots of users have had their pages disappear, and there's no way to report it to Facebook. They have a "page restore" feature, but of course, All About Jazz wasn't listed as inactive. They essentially switched off our longstanding page without notice. Honestly, the AAJ Facebook page didn't drive much traffic, so no great loss. Making a new page seems unlikely, because it may vanish too.You can still share our content thoughjust hit the share buttons wherever you find them on our website.
