Elements of post-bop, lush chordal arrangements, compelling blowing over interesting odd-meter grooves...this somewhat describes David’s music. It’s modern jazz that goes well beyond -- into Latin, rock, and Americana territory. In other words, pushing boundaries with artistic depth, like Bass Desires, Return to Forever, some Zappa, or Snarky Puppy, and yet like none of that either. David's been pushing jazz boundaries since he first came on the scene in New York City and Boston in the 1990s. The end product has only gotten more refined and interesting since.
