Undertow is the culmination of a multi-year album project featuring original jazz fusion music by Dan Fiori. Some of these compositions are very recent, while others have been percolating for nearly a decade. The recording features a roster of talented musicians hailing from Boston and New York City, and Josh Arenberg produced and mixed it. Undertow draws from an eclectic mix of influences ranging from Weather Report to Snarky Puppy. The instrumentation includes four horns, guitar, bass, drums, and many layers of piano, keyboards, and synths.
