Chris Cody Charlie Tait
Pianist and composer Chris Cody and sound artist, engineer and producer Charlie Tait met last year, forming a new friendship and collaboration around their different music practice.
Coming from contrasting backgrounds, cultures and generations, they seek through dialogue and practice-based experimentation to create and perform new music that combines Cody’s jazz and classical influences with Tait’s contemporary electronic music.
Under Ocean uses solo piano improvisations and pieces by Chris, which Charlie reimagines adding new sound elements and instruments.
Together, Cody and Tait create new emotionally charged sonic landscapes that are both lyrical and expansive, evoking a range of imagined places and moods.
