vocalsAlbum Description
McIntosh puts her own spin on the Antônio Carlos Jobim classic, performing the Brazilian standard in its original Portuguese. Centered around longing, loneliness and the realization that a dream cannot always become reality, “Triste” follows McIntosh’s recent interpretation of jazz standard “Angel Eyes” and further showcases another side of the genre-spanning artist.
“I am so glad to be releasing my first single in another language. When I started making music, I never thought I would ever record a song in Portuguese, but it is one of my favorite languages to sing in now,” Mia goes on to say, “I am grateful that I got to collaborate on this song with such talented people from school, and I hope everyone enjoys listening to it.”
