Theia (Θεια) I. Greek Mythology: Titaness; mother of Selene, the Moon goddess, Helios, the Sun god, and Eos, goddess of the Dawn. II. Astronomy: Planet that collided and melted into the early Earth 4.5 billion years ago. The cloud of debris from the impact coalesced together and the Moon was born.
