“The Spinner of Yarns” literally translates as “a spinner of threads,” but in a broader sense it refers to a storyteller, a creator of narratives. While traveling, I often capture short musical ideas—fragments of melodies. Returning to them later, I discover new inspiration, even though the pieces often move away from their original impulse and take on entirely new shapes and forms.
