Album Description

In the realm of progressive jazz rock, The Outernet is a fresh force redefining musical boundaries. Led by visionary keyboardist and composer Phil Turcio, the band features Pete Drummond (drums), Pete Mollica (bass), and rising guitarist Emilio Kormanic. Each member brings a unique virtuosity, creating a rich, genre-defying sound. Phil’s spontaneous, almost mystical compositional process, powered by modern technology, shapes much of the band’s creative drive. Emilio’s partnership with Phil, forged pre-COVID, adds a layer of musical telepathy, while Mollica's decades-long collaboration with Phil grounds the group with deep chemistry. Drummond’s late but pivotal addition completed the lineup, culminating in pre-pandemic sessions that birthed the band’s identity. Their debut performance confirmed their shared vision: The Outernet isn’t just a band, but a resilient, passionate collective. The Outernet channels their journey into their debut album, The Light and The Fury—a powerful statement of intent and artistry . . . . . .
