Album Description
These four cuts were recorded and mixed at two Nashville studios: Howard's Apartment (Dave Coleman's studio) and Alex Robinson's humble home set-up. Tracks 1 and 2 were done at Dave's place and tracks 3 and 4 at Alex's. "Bird" and "Ruby" were recorded with my Bee Benders bandmates and two different, equally brilliant keyboard players, Zach Vinson and Brady Beard respectively. Alex played multiple instruments with me on guitar and lead vocals on "Walking Bridge" and "Baptist Convention". "The Bird On The Branch (Was You)", the title cut, touches on loss, ghosts, and in Proust's (translated) words, time recaptured. The four tracks cover a wide range and they all feel like me...to me. I love this music and I'm happy to share.
