Album Description
Scott Hallgren is an Emmy-nominated composer, conductor, producer and pianist. His latest release, SCORES (2015-2025) is a genre-bending compilation album which represents his diverse and compelling work across a decade of film, TV, and game scores.
Among its many tracks, the album SCORES includes his original music for "Photography" (2025) which was nominated for a Central Great Lakes Emmy award, his first documentary feature “The Disturbances” (2016), his first narrative feature “Fly By Night” (2018) and "Perfect 36: How Women Won The Vote" (2017) for PBS, which won a Bronze Telly. In all, selected cues from four feature films, multiple short films, two television programs and two games are included.
Recorded in Seattle, Nashville, and across Northeast Ohio, the music evokes and elevates the visuals of award-winning broadcast and multi film festival works, while also championing the use of live musicians and recording spaces.
Hallgren’s previous work includes the multi-million stream first album, 2010’s tango/jazz, also available on EarUp Records.
