The Inter Section's third release, Rhythmic, features award-winning Spanish guitarist Manuel Montero on an acoustic set of original Latin jazz guitar compositions. The songs, inspired by Brazilian legends Jobim and Bonfa, are bursting with bright melodies and Latin styling, and meld bossa nova and rumba rhythms with contemporary jazz and classical guitar sensibilities. Montero is joined by veteran bassists Itaiguara Brandão and André Vasconcellos, and percussionist Daniel Alfaro.
Rhythmic was written and produced by Steve Ehrlich. Proceeds from the EP are donated to Lyme Disease research.
