Album Description

The Downbeat Magazine Award-winning ensemble that has taken the jazz world by storm! This group is the epitome of collaboration, featuring a diverse line-up of musical storytellers from all corners of the globe, including Italy, Venezuela, and New Zealand. Their vision is to explore each other's musical roots and traditions, which is evident in the way they contribute compositions that cover a wide range of influences. In the midst of a pandemic in 2020, this ensemble was born - coming together regularly as students at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, under the mentorship of none other than Blue Note recording artist, Kendrick A.D Scott. Their chemistry and musical prowess caught the attention of many, leading to the formation of the Retrospective Quintet - a force to be reckoned with in the jazz community. With their unique blend of cultural influences, exceptional musicianship, and unwavering dedication to their craft, this ensemble is sure to captivate audiences and leave them wanting more.
