Shapiro Project's third album features nine original Jazz compositions by guitarist Eugene Shapiro, recipient of two Nevada Arts Council Fellowships in Jazz Compositions, and one original Jazz composition by his brother and drummer Boris Shapiro, recipient of Nevada Arts Council Honorable Mention in Jazz Perofrmance. Together with keyboardist Brian Triola, who also plays with a Rock Funk group Moksha, and saxophonist Marc Solis, the original band member/musician for Cirque Du Soleil Mystere, the longest running show in Las Vegas, this powerful quartet brings you groovy, soulful, hip Contemporary Jazz Fusion, Smooth Jazz, and Funk tunes that you will want to hear again and again! Recorded in Las Vegas, NV at SchuBox Studio by Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra who also contributed his keyboard skills to the track "Endearment," the "Planet X" album is an oasis in the Las Vegas desert.
