Album Description
Three pieces of improvised music for amplified piano & acoustic guitar and two pieces for solo guitar. Molacg is a collective work consisting of five improvisations spread over two vinyl albums (Molacg part 1 & 2) or as one digital release. The three duo recordings were recorded in 2012 and the two solo guitar tracks are from 2023 and 2024. The music here makes itself available for "the empty space". For the space between us and the space around us.Everything is allowed, because everything has a value if it is played. Everything that enters the empty space, we have to deal with and include it in the overall content of the... space. Molacg draws on a multitude of different musical traditions and references. Here there are no boundaries between genres, just music. The music is fabulating and searching and unfolds in long and linear improvisations that are full of dynamics and complexity and take shape like an endless rag rug that keeps shedding colors. The three duo recordings are a dialogue between two people. A conversation without words, where the arguments are not caught in the back of the backpack, but are invented as the dialogue unfolds. The two solo guitar recordings revisit some of the moods and basic sound that make up the overall work.
