Album Description

'Midnight in Blue' is Riyoko Takagi's 2nd 2023 Jazz piano trio album. This is the fourth straight ahead jazz album, following the three works by Riyoko Takagi x Steelpan Records, which reached number one on numerous jazz charts. Like the previous work "The Piano Story", the rhythm section features top Japanese musicians (Bass: Yosuke Inoue, Drums: Hiroyuki Noritake), focusing on original songs and standard songs of slow ballads and heartwarming melodies, perfect for the long nights of autumn/winter 2023. Mastering was done by Jett Galindo, a disciple of legendary mastering engineer Doug Sax. A talented artist who has worked with everyone from Selena Gomez to Neil Young, Diana Krall, and Paul McCartney. This one is perfect for relaxing adult time.
