A live album by UDEiGWE

Live in Williamsburg is a full-length live recording captured in March 2025 at Williamsburg Music Center, a historic Brooklyn room with deep roots in jazz, soul, and community music-making.

Recorded in a single evening with no overdubs or retakes, the album documents Lawrence Udeigwe and his band in real time — voice, piano, breath, and ensemble interplay preserved as they unfolded. Room sound, dynamic shifts, and spontaneous phrasing are left intact, favoring presence over polish.

The set revisits earlier songs alongside a few covers, reimagined through restraint and space. Arrangements are sparse and groove-driven, allowing the music to breathe and settle rather than be shaped toward perfection. The result is intimate, human, and grounded. A record that sounds the way live music feels.

More than a performance document, Live in Williamsburg functions as a snapshot: a moment of arrival before the next chapter. While UDEiGWE’s forthcoming studio work explores conceptual structure and composition, this album centers the act of playing: musicians responding to one another, to the room, and to the audience.
