Keeping the essence of who you are could be tricky, but not impossible as long as you stay free to make your own decisions... Libre Esencia (Free Essence) is Romero's first attempt to portray a fresh take on Afro-Peruvian music, its nuances and ways of interpreting it with styles such as bolero and avant-garde / free jazz. With four original compositions and two arrangements by RoD, he is well accompanied by his colleagues and fellow composers Gabriel Balado and Raúl Abbad who each contributed with one original composition.
