Album Description
The new album from Parco della Musica Records is La gomma di dante. Weave4 is a French-Italian collective that brings together two generations of international-level artists and long-time collaborators: Benoît Delbecq on piano, Steve Argüelles on drums, Francesco Bigoni on tenor saxophone and clarinet, and Francesco Diodati on guitar. The album was recorded in 2024 at the Casa Del Jazz, following an Italian tour that culminated right in Rome.
Each of the members writes for the collective, bound by a skillfully organized intertwining of sounds and textures that transform organically through the practice of improvisation. The tracks do not follow rigid and predictable structures but become malleable and flexible material, giving a new vision to the concept of the "unfinished" in music. This music takes shape through the organic encounter of multiple sounds—acoustic and electronic, samples; in this second album, the group's identity emerges even more strongly from a passion for sound detail and the search for essentiality.
