Album Description
Eleonora Kouneni’s new EP, Independently Blue, follows a single narrator through the turbulence that defines a relationship on fragile footing, oscillating between frustration, fantasy, confrontation, and finally the possibility of something new. From the wry frustration of Can’t We Be Friends, the record shifts into the tender idealism of Close Your Eyes—a daydream of how things could be, shaped by the imagined moments that keep hope alive. Love Me or Leave Me brings the inevitable reckoning, the point where frustration turns into an ultimatum, as the narrator tries to hold a line that’s already slipping. Skylark softens that stance, lifting the narrative into a more expansive emotional landscape shaped by uncertainty, longing and the quiet contradictions that lead toward renewal. Rooted in the tradition of the Great American Songbook and delivered with contemporary intimacy, the EP explores the push‑pull between unmet needs and expectations, and the courage to begin again
