Notes From High In The Sky finds UK saxophonist and multi‑instrumentalist Richard Davies expanding his cinematic jazz vocabulary into a world of weightlessness, drift and quiet turbulence. The album unfolds like a sequence of aerial vignettes — each track a different altitude, a different pressure system, a different psychological weather pattern.

Davies blends saxophones, electronics and textural percussion with a composer’s sense of pacing, favouring atmosphere over ornament and narrative over virtuosity.
