Album Description
David Janeway's first recording as a leader (reissued on CD in 2016) features two sessions; one recorded in NYC with Bob Berg and a latin jazz rhythm section and in Detroit (his home town) with another stellar band featuring Marcus Belgrave on trumpet. Album features Janeway's compositions that display a wide range from latin jazz to mainstream. Liner Notes: "Over all, what you have in your hands is a product that has been carefully planned, thoughtfully nurtured and exceedingly well executed. It is, conceptually and musically, representative of that Detroit sound that has been so crucial to the general evolution of jazz." Herb Boyd.
