Album Description
Eclipses is the fifth album from Paris-based Macedonian vocalist and composer Aneta George, a deeply personal and transcendent fusion of jazz, Balkan rhythm, and improvisation. Recorded during two real celestial events — a solar and a lunar eclipse — the album channels both cosmic energy and human vulnerability into eight compositions that move between structure and freedom. Each piece traces a journey through loss, healing, and transformation — from the poetic invocation “Truth” to the ecstatic “Dharma” and the ancestral “Ne Si Go Prodavaj Koljo Cifligot.” Supported by her ensemble Melem (Denis Guivarc’h – alto saxophone, Martin Milcent – piano, Nicolas Bauer – bass, Hélios Mikhaïl – drums), George transforms grief into light, creating a soundscape that feels both intimate and cosmic.
